• Studio Arhoj

Located in the harbour of Copenhagen, Studio Arhoj is a Danish design studio run by Anders Arhoj. Originally founded in Tokyo in 2006, Studio Arhoj is now based in Denmark.

Merging the simplicity of the Scandinavian aesthetic and the traditional values of Japanese culture, Studio Arhoj create beautiful and often playful homewares using a variety of materials including wood, clay, porcelain, paper and glass.

Studio Arhoj are interested in experimental processes as well as keeping time-honoured techniques alive including knowledge about old crafts such as wheel throwing and glaze construction.

Working with skilled artisans, potters and crafts people, each and every Studio Arhoj piece is handmade in Denmark. Anders Arhoj and his team seek to create an ever-evolving collection of homewares.

Named after the Japanese word for snow, the hand-thrown Yuki vase stands tall with a painterly tonal glaze mimicking the gentle movement of melting ice. Beautiful alone or grouped, the gently curved vase makes a perfect setting for seasonal blooms.

Sturdy yet graceful, the humorously named Slurp Cup makes an ideal vessel for your morning cup of coffee. Hand-cast in porcelain, Slurp Cup is available in a variety of colourful glazes, each one unique.

With organic, instinctive brushstrokes, Botanica and Black Ink bring a contemporary touch to letter writing. Alternatively the prints can be framed, each one bringing a fresh touch of Scandinavian design wherever they are hung.
